What is the Meaning of “Fulfillment Status”?

Fulfillment status indicates the current stage of an order in the fulfillment process. It lets the buyer and seller know if a product is packaged, shipped, or is still in process.

Order fulfillment status, on the other hand, only considers whether or not the products included in an order have been packed and sent to the customer, as opposed to the order status, which deals with issues like payment processing or order cancellation movements.

Common Fulfillment Status Types

The following are six common fulfillment status types-

Unfulfilled- Your order has been processed, but is still in the warehouse packaging process or waiting to be shipped.

Partially Fulfilled- Some items in your order ship separately because some of the products are currently out of stock, and some have been shipped. This usually occurs when items are backordered or shipped from different warehouses.

Fulfilled- The order has been packed and shipped.

Complete- The order has been packed and shipped in its entirety. The tracking information is usually provided at this point.

Hold- The order has been put on hold for the time being. This could be because of stock problems, fraud verifications, or client questions.

Scheduled- The order is confirmed to be processed at a later date. This status is commonly used for pre-orders and time-sensitive deliveries.
