What is POS Billing?
The POS billing function will generate and record customer bills using a restaurant POS system.
This function will calculate each item’s price, taxes, discounts, and final total for fast and accurate billing during checkout.
The Functioning Of POS Systems For Billing
When restaurants input orders into their POS system, the system automatically calculates the amount owed based on the items ordered, any modifications made (like add-on ingredients), and applicable tax. Once the customer pays, their complete transaction history is archived within the system.
At the time of payment, cash, debit, credit cards, or mobile payments will be entered as a method of payment into the POS system and processed. After completing the payment transaction, all billing information will remain in the POS system, and it becomes easy to track sales and create reports for revenue management.
