What is a promo code?
A promo code is an alphanumeric code entered into the POS system in a restaurant that will provide the customer's order a specific discount, offer, or deal, typically to help marketing and online sales or to reward customers.
When the customers (or restaurant employees) make an order, they input the promo code into the POS or the online ordering system. Then the system checks if the code is valid based on a set of rules like expiry date, usage frequency, and the minimum amount.
