What Is Restaurant Marketing?

Restaurant marketing is all the things you do to market your restaurant and get people to know your restaurant. It’s more than just advertising. It’s your reputation, your online presence, and how guests feel about you even before they walk through the door.

Some of these marketing costs are low, and sometimes too much. Start with your Google Business Profile, because that’s where most people look first. Make sure that your hours, menu, photos, and phone number are current. Ask your customers to leave reviews, reward them for doing so, and respond to every single one, whether positive or negative.

Nowadays, social media helps a lot too. Instagram and Facebook especially do a lot of the talking through pictures. Post often, show off your team and your food, and tell people about specials.

Email and text lists are worth building. They let you reach regulars directly when you have a new menu, an event, or a slow night to fill. A loyalty program can feed that list while bringing guests back more often.

Don’t forget your community. Local events, partnerships with nearby businesses, and word of mouth still bring in a lot of guests.
