What are Quick Buttons?
Quick Buttons are programmable shortcuts in a restaurant POS interface where restaurant staff can select popular menu items, modifiers, or functions quickly. They increase the speed and accuracy of order taking, require minimal manual input, and serve to make the POS much more efficient during service.
Items or functions that are often ordered or used are programmed as quick buttons on the screen. Staff then touch the quick button instead of navigating menus and can add items or implement functions (like a discount, modifier, or payment option).
Restaurants can program quick buttons to match the categories of menu items or have categories based on what is often ordered during certain times of the day, staff workflow, error reduction, ordering speed, and overall flow of the restaurant experience in busy U.S. restaurants.
