A custom receipt footer is an area located at the bottom of both printed and digital receipts within a restaurant POS system, which allows restaurants to add personalized information to the receipt. The custom receipt footer allows businesses to convey a message to their customers, include a brand name or logo, and give customers any other relevant information.
How Does a Custom Receipt Footer Work?
A receipt footer is customized using the POS system's receipt settings. Within those settings, a restaurant manager is able to enter text or a message that will appear at the bottom of every single receipt issued by their POS systems. When this customization is saved, it will automatically print and/or display on every customer receipt generated by the system.Every time a transaction is completed, and a receipt is generated, the POS system will automatically generate the base receipt including standard information like order details, including items ordered, taxes, and payment method, and then will print the custom footer message directly beneath the standard receipt detail.
The restaurant can change or update the custom footer message anytime through the POS settings. This ability to customize and convey messages to customers creates a very professional and consistent receipt format for restaurants, helping to improve communication with customers while providing a consistent receipt format for all transactions.
